House Under Contract

Cutting The Plastic

Today we have taken another step that Dave Ramsey had taught us. It was painful and fulfilling at the same time. As we pay off credit card we are to cut them up. One of the most painful ones for me was the Lowes credit card and for Amanda it was the KOHL'S credit card. But we did it. We have currently snowballed four bills which means that we have paid off the credit card and plan on no longer using credit cards to pay for things. It's such a good feeling being out of debt with these credit cards. We still have a ways to being out of debt completely but we sure are working on it.

We are still on the hunt for our future home. We are getting close..... Stay tuned to find out updates on the hunt.

Debt

Why is it that we all are so subject to falling into the pitfalls of debt? We just got home from our Financial Peace University class at church... and man have our eyes been opened. If you ever get the opportunity to take this you need to. We are so thankful to have started so early in our marriage. We are now trying to pay all of our debts, become debt free and cut up all of our credit cards. Just thinking about not owing anyone makes us feel so free. We have a long road ahead, but together we will do this! The bible says that a borrower is slave to the lender. Isn't that's whats wrong with the world today? So many people are jobless right now with so much money in debt and yet the owners of their debts are getting bonuses and flying in private jets. The only way to change this is to break free. The only one who can control what happens to your money is you. We are really enjoying this class together and we are learning so much. We can't wait for the financial peace and freedom we will have later in our life together. Its like Dave Ramsey says we are gonna live like no one else so that we might live like no one else!
