First Real Bath

So the belly button finally came off on December 17th while at the doctors office. So it became time for his first real bath on the 18th. He did enjoy his time in the bath and did not make one fuss during the bath but did pee on Mama. She says the next time is my time for giving him a bath. We all are having such a good time together even though Sophia has concern look on her face while he is a getting a bath.

Growing so fast!

Landon is really growing up fast! He has started smiling at both Josh and I. He is such a sweet boy! He has been battling reflux which can make him feel really bad, but hopefully we can get that under control with the right medication soon! When he is feeling well he is a happy little guy! He is exploring the world around him daily! He has recently discovered his hand he loves to stare at it as well as his toys on his bouncy seat! We can't wait to share this Christmas with our little one! Time seems to just be flying by so quickly!!! He had his first play date on Wednesday with our neighbor Matthew. They were so cute together!

He has been more fussy this week and wanting to eat all the time! He is such a sweet boy! He noticed the black and white fish above his changing table yesterday. It is amazing to watch him grow and learn each day. He really is changing fast! We love him so much!!

Landon's home!!!

Well, today is Friday and we were just thinking that it has been 1 week since we went into labor! Time has flown by. Having Landon at home has been a big adjustment for us all. Especially, Sophia!! She loves Landon almost a little too much! Josh and I are simply over the moon in love with this little fellow. He is sweet as he can be and we just can't get enough! He has started making the sweetest little smiles when he sleeps or nurses. Our lives have been forever changed. Becoming parents has been one of the greatest experiences of our lives! It really makes us think about all that God has done for us. How he could give his one and only son to save the rest of us. Thank you God for all of your sacrifices so that we could live forever!

Landon's Trip home

Well, time has flown by at Rex and now we have officially made our journey home. We put our little on in an outfit his Grandma Lee brought him at the hospital. It is still so hard to believe our little angel is here! It felt very surreal leaving the hospital, but we are all ready to be at home. Grandma Lee will be staying this week with us to help us get off to a good start. We are so happy and simply just smitten with Landon!!

Baby Nursery- day three

Well we are getting there slowly, but surely. My mom came up and helped for two days She helped me get sand background in place which certainly was a big job! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful and talented mother! Josh painted the base color for the seaweed and rocks which always makes adding details a lot easier for me. I am so thankful for both of their help it was fun working together. I got two trigger clown fish finished which will go above the changing table. I have started drawing the turtles, can't wait to get them finished especially after our beach trip!

A Week At The Beach

Well we

Well we are back from spending one week at Topsail Island with the entire family. We had a lot of fun. Time really flew by. We got to see a nest of turtles hatch and crawl to the ocean which was really cool. There were between 80-90 of the little guys. They were so cute! The turtle up top isn't a sea turtle it is one that can lives on land and water, but it is the same size as all the baby turtles we saw make it to the ocean. It was really cool, those little guys can really move fast to the ocean! Josh also got to fly his red kite that he put together he really got it up there so far that you could see it from our beach house. Anyway it was so much fun to bad it went by so fast.

Baby Cruz's Nursery- day two

Today has been day two of my nursery painting adventure. I have worked on the same wall as yesterday. I will be spending the rest of the day drawing on the walls to prep for painting the rest of this week. I am so thankful that of all the talents that God could have given me that he gave me the ability to create. As I am painting I think about how I am creating this room for our child with the gifts he gave me. I can't help but to think about how wonderful he must of felt as he created the earth for us, his children. Thank you Lord for all your many, many blessings!
